We were made to believe that frolicking in wide strawberry farms can only be enjoyed in the highlands of Baguio and Benguet. Well, not anymore. There are strawberries in Bohol, too.

Bohol Organic and Strawberry Farm in Brgy. Mayana, Jagna in the province of Bohol offers a wide area of sweet and succulent strawberries available for picking. It is believed that growing of strawberries in the elevated Brgy. Mayana is probably ideal because of its cool temperature.

Accordingly, it is advisable to visit the place early in the morning for higher chances of picking more strawberries. Not just that, there are times when the place is cloaked with cold fog so you might want to experience that.

Aside from strawberries, you can also see other organic vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, pepper and a lot more. Note that you have to pay for what you have harvested.

While here, guests are treated with the grand view of the distant verdant hills. Bohol’s highest peak is visible from Bohol Organic and Strawberry Farm. Who would have thought that picking strawberries can be this relaxing? Make sure to bring your family and friends for a good quality time.

Currently, a café is being constructed to serve visitors.

Strawberries offer refreshments and heathy treats for the health-conscious individuals. According to the Mayo Clinic website, strawberries are an excellent source of Vitamins C and fiber, potassium, and magnesium. Research studies say strawberries help fight cancer and heart diseases, promote eye health, and reduce joint inflammation.

These strawberries can be found in some other places in Bohol particularly in higher places that has cold temperatures.

We really don’t have to travel far to experience the thrill of picking strawberries. Bohol is waving at us.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact location: Mayana, Jagna, Bohol, Central Visayas

BY BUS: Head to the integrated bus station (Dao) and catch a bus going to Jagna. From Tagbilaran City, it takes around 2 hours to get to Jagna, Bohol. From the town proper, you can ride a habal habal, for P60/person. Brgy. Mayana is located 18kms from the town of Jagna.

BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Musfa organic strawberry farm” in Jagna, Bohol. Parking space is available.
