Want to sip some coffee in a mountaintop with a panoramic view of lush mountain ranges and a sea of clouds? How about camping and waking up on a sea of clouds? You can have all these (and more!) at Jomax Peak in Barangay Kumaliskis, Negros Occidental.

Jomax Peak, as the name implies, is a camping and picnic grounds on a mountaintop that provides its guests with IG-worthy views. The panoramic view is made more majestic because it is surrounded by several mountains concealed by a sea of clouds early in the morning especially during “Habagat” or south monsoon seasons.

Jomax Peak also offers an amazing spot to watch the sunset and moonrise. Amenities in the area include a public veranda, a veranda shade, pool area, a pavilion, and even a camping ground!

For those planning to stay overnight, expect a really cold experience so make sure to bring sweaters and layers of clothes. Comfort rooms and tents for rent are available to campers. And because loud music and karaoke are prohibited, you are assured of a night of peace and nothing but the sound of nearby birds chirping.

If you prefer a more comfortable stay than the usual tents, Jomax Peak also has their own ‘Payag’ (Nipa Hut) for overnight use at P3,500 per night, good for 10 persons.

For those who are planning to visit, Jomax Peak, make sure to book weeks ahead of your trip on their FB page or website (links below).

They are very strict with the number of guests they accommodate so that the place does not get cramped up, thus visitors get to savor their trips. Furthermore, we recommend that you schedule your trips on weekdays because the fees are cheaper and there is a lesser number of visitors.
