Ever since the outbreak began in March, the Department of Health Region 7 (DOH-7) has confirmed that the Province of Siquijor in Central Visayas still remains COVID-19 free as of July 22, 2020.

Upon validating the data from respective disease reporting unit, the three (3) cases reported previously in the COVID-19 tracker were admitted in the hospitals in Makati City, Pasig City, and in Mandaue City but only listed in Siquijor as their permanent address.

As to date, no confirmed case yet recorded in Siquijor Island.

Meanwhile, as of July 22, 2020, DOH-7 has also reported 224 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 183 new recoveries, and 22 new deaths in the Central Visayas region. 220 of these new cases are from the island of Cebu.

According to DOH-7, a total of 2,063 laboratory results were released from the following; VSMCC Subnational Laboratory (806), Cebu TB Reference Laboratory (1,113), ARC Hospital (144) and Prime Care Alpha (0).
