The modest Taytay Plateau rises just above the cloud “sea level” overlooking Nueva Fuerza, Carmen. Its flat and level top creates the perfect staying and viewing area for guests and visitors who’d like to see the famed sea of clouds.
When fog forms and clouds creep up into the terrain below, everything is covered in white wisps and puffs. Taytay Hills Kubo maintains an enthralling view of the tops of the clouds. As the fog swirls lazily, it creates a mesmerizing effect that can glue you to your seat for hours!
When the weather is clear, guests are treated to an overlooking view of the world-famous Chocolate Hills, the neighboring towns of Carmen, and the calm Cebu Strait.
Your stay on top of the clouds
A hilltop like this is the perfect place for lounging and napping. Accommodation is available in their cozy kubos that can fit groups of up to 15 people! The kubos are simple, yet feels absolutely homey in its place on the hill.
Taytay Hills Kubo also features a viewing platform with benches that is just the perfect spot to admire the view below. If you’re staying for a while and want to prepare refreshments, a dirty kitchen is available within the premises with utensils and cookware that may be borrowed.
Should you plan to go, note that the trail leading up to the property is uneven terrain and can get muddy, so hiking is advised. The trek won’t feel as tiring, however, thanks to the cool air and the panoramic views of Bohol island.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact location: Taytay Plateau, Nueva Fuerza, Carmen, Bohol
BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Taytay Carmen Sea of Clouds” in Bohol. The drive from the main road to the hills takes 20 minutes.
