The mountainous regions of Mindanao are lands blessed by the hands of God and untouched by the hands of men.

There are various breathtaking land formations present in many areas that just enchant tourists and visitors with their grandness. Such are the views in Camp 44, or locally known as Tandengaw Ridge Camp, a popular mountain trekking site overlooking the marvelous countryside of Northeastern Bukidnon.

Camp 44 have expansive mountain ridges overwhelming the senses of every visitor. It is truly God’s work of art with the mountains intricately carved into the verdant lands filling every onlooker with feelings of joy, gratitude, and wonder. Looking at the mountain views up close leaves trekkers and campers awestruck with their perfect beauty with no space to utter a single word – except some who were able to say how much it resembles the towering mountains of New Zealand.

Oftentimes, or during early mornings and late evenings, the mountain range gets enveloped in thick, white clouds that leave anyone engulfed in it with zero visibility and shivering in the cold temperature that it brings. It is especially quite heavenly to look at during sunrise when the light of the sun slowly breaks the clouds to bring light onto the mountain surfaces.

When the clouds are thick and lower than the camp, a lovely sea of clouds appears with the mountain ridges peaking over the blanket of clouds, covering the foot of the mountain. Views like this without any trace of civilization or industrialization – just the pure bliss of nature – warms the heart of everyone looking at it and is quite soothing to the mind and the soul. Camp 44 is one of the best places to spend a relaxing weekend getaway to declutter the mind and free it from stress.

To make the climb more memorable for trekkers and hikers, Camp 44 has prepared various props and backdrops which can be used by visitors who love to take photos. One of the newest props installed is a wooden boat structure along the ridge where campers and visitors will look like they’re riding the boat over the sea of clouds.

They even installed a large swing that swings back and forth over the steep drop, giving those who swing a clear view of the drop below and a different perspective of the mountains – IT also comes with a little bit of excitement.
