Dakong Bato Beach Resort is a humble pebble resort nestled just by the side of the road in Candayuman, Leyte. Its name mainly comes from the giant rock formation, or “dakong bato”, which is very visible at one end of the beach.

At the other end is the chill or tambayan area where groups of friends just sit together around the table and relax while talking with one another. The tables with umbrellas are extremely cheap which leaves room for food to munch on while appreciating the views.

If the group prefers a more rustic experience, then they can rent any of the nipa hut cottages that are over the pebble beach. The cottages are much more expensive compared to the tables but they do offer more space and comfort for everybody.
