Camping in the heart of nature hasn’t lost its sparkle. In fact, it’s always the most sought after.
Whenever we think of soul-searching, we always seek the comfort of nature. There’s something in the sound of the waves or the rustling of the leaves or the mere sight of the green verdant hills that puts us at ease, bringing us all back to square one – a blank slate, an empty canvas.
While technology and the modern age have seemed to overtake the way how we live our lives by bombarding us with social media, high-tech gadgets and a fast-paced environment, there’s a place in Misamis Oriental that will fetch us back to the days when mornings are still filled with cold, foggy air and laidback feels.
Don Benedicto Lagbas Kinawa Park in Brgy. Kidampas, Sugbongcogon Misamis Oriental has all that it takes to comfort everyone seeking for a moment with nature. It’s a perfect place for some quiet time so you can recharge and be ready again to ride with the hustles and bustles of the city life.
The place is named after Don Benedicto Lagbas who built the town’s landmark, the Lagbas Ancestral House. Although the place is still in development, you will already see and experience some structures that define the concept of the park.
From the entrance, you will witness an expansive view of the green and foggy terrain that serves as the base of the park. The area is also defined by cooler temperature hence, it fogs often. Structures have plant roots twining on them. They are also designed to appear as rustic as possible so everyone can enjoy a visually appealing environment during their stay. Don’t miss to take good photos here too.
Don Benedicto Lagbas Kinawa Park has some triangular cottages that you can rent for your overnight stay. How good can it get when you sleep in a place that’s free from city noise and all you can hear is the silence of the night mixed with the occasional sounds of the nocturnal birds and animals? When you stay for the night here, you also get the chance to bask under the abundant display of the stars and the moon above.
On top of this, mornings are nothing short of perfection as you will be waking up to the sound of nature, a cup of hot coffee, and for the lucky ones, the breath of loved ones beside you.
One of the highlights of this park is the spring that flows with refreshingly cold waters. It can be found just within the park. Everyone is guaranteed for a satisfying dip which gets more enjoyable when with the company of family, friends or loved ones. This park just simply draws your attention to its cool breeze ambience.
