The vessel is also expected to speed up movement of cargo goods by being the fastest cargo vessel in the country today with a travel time of just 17 hours from Manila to Cebu.

Its launch and name symbolize hope and optimism for the sea travel industry during these hard times.

“’Masaya’ is a happy feeling, but ‘Maligaya’ has a sense of deep joy and youthfulness.”- Blessie Cruz, 2GO Assistant Vice President for Marketing

Like its name, Maligaya brings happiness to its passengers by being the most technologically advanced roll-on roll-off passenger ship that has set sail in the Philippines.
