Camping is a recreational activity in which participants take up temporary residence in the outdoors, usually using tents or specially designed or adapted vehicles for shelter. Camping was at one time only a rough, back-to-nature pastime for hardy open-air lovers, but it later became the standard holiday for vast numbers of ordinary families.

Indeed, Mt. Apo Berries Farm gives everyone a fresh perspective on how families and friends can spend their weekends.  While here, guests are treated with a lavish display of the proud peaks of Mt. Apo, Mt. Matutum, and Mt. Tampurong, all clothed in lush green vegetation. At times, thick sea of clouds can be found hovering the nearby mountain ranges. As they say it, the heavens kiss the mountains here.

But more than the mountain views, it’s the cold breeze that makes the stay more enjoyable.  There are hammocks stationed at certain spots where you can meditate and just be one with yourself and nature. The peace and quiet ambience are things that are guaranteed. You can grab your book, pamper yourself or take photos to your heart’s content – no one’s really going to stop you.

At night, expect the feast of city lights in front of you. Since the place is situated on the elevated parts if Davao del Sur, you are given 360-degrees view of the city, enough to make you stunned. And who doesn’t want a campfire? At Mt. Apo Berries Farm, you can always set up a campfire at their designated places and enjoy the company of your friends/families while you talk about almost anything under the twinkling stars above.

Aside from the hot coffee and the cold air in the morning, you can also make the best out of it by fishing tilapia and hito in their pond. When it’s harvest season, part of your reservation includes berry picking.

For the utilities, the farm is complete with showers, urinals, stove, water dispenser, cook wares, griller, kitchen utensils and internet access.

Campsite Rules

  1. One group of guests allowed at a time.
  2. Clean as you go.
  3. No littering.
  4. Observe quite hour (10PM – 7AM).
  5. Do not leave valuables unattended.
  6. Campsite belongings must be returned after use.
  7. Be a responsible smoker.
  8. Watch your children at all times.
  9. Be a responsible pet owner.
  10. Campfire and grill areas must be in designated areas.

  • Mondays – Thursdays: P4,500 per night (good for 1-10 persons)
  • Fridays – Sundays: P5,000 per night (good for 1-10 persons)

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact location: Sitio New Bohol, Brgy. Managa, Bansalan, Davao del Sur, Mindanao

BY COMMUTE: From Davao City, ride a bus or van bound to Bansalan. Davao City is approximately 87 km from Mt. Apo Berries Farm. From Bansalan proper, you can ride a habal-habal going to the place. Landmark is Mabuhay Elementary school. Few meters away from the school, you will see a signage to Mt. Apo Berries Farm.

BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Mt. Apo Berries Farm” in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. Parking space is available.
