The islet is a craggy rock formation protruding out of the water’s surface. Its prominent feature is a steep rocky hill peppered with bushes and small plant life. Around the hill are crags of rock at different heights that give way to a seawater basin. The rocky terrain may be weathered by rain, wind, and waves, but it’s still a majestic and humbling sight.

On the foot of the steep hill is the famed blue lagoon. While the rocks around it are all worn and the waves outside are strong and forceful, the waters inside the lagoon are mellow and steady. The rocks break down the waves from the open sea and collect the water into pools. Then, the water from these pools cascade and flow down, creating a lagoon that’s magically calm.

Swimming in the walls of the lagoon is a real unique experience. The water is clear and enchanting, plus it goes down really deep. It’s almost otherworldly!

To get to the blue lagoon, you will need to walk through Naputad Beach. Although it’s quite a long walk, you’ll be surrounded with scenic views of different rock formations and terrain along the rocky beach. The long and wide stretch of beach is a nice little warm up to the main attraction at the actual lagoon!

There is also a second lagoon at the edge of the islet connecting with the beach. The water is also mellow but a lot shallower, great for lounging after trekking or swimming.

The rocky islet is captivating and is a rare glimpse into untouched nature. Remember to preserve its beauty by keeping the place clean and free of litter. Also keep in mind that there are no trees or thick plants to offer shade, so make sure to stay cool and bring plenty of drinking water!
