One (or should I say two?) great added bonus is that the location is a prime spot to witness the sunrise and sunset. Come on, who needs a television when you have an amazing view like this?

The Campsite

RotyPeaks Ridge Camp may be a campsite, but it is not without accommodation and a few attractions. The camp offers wooden cabins as housing for groups of 2 up to 10 people! From small bamboo sheds to bigger wood houses, you can find a safe and warm space with furnishings and comfy places to rest in.

Besides the cabins, the camp also has a dedicated tent area under tall trees. The view is just as majestic here, if not made better by being directly under the sky and exposed to the elements!

Around the campsite you’ll find a viewing area with a large hammock, a rocking chair, and a picnic table. You can have breakfast or dinner here while enjoying the beautiful backdrop. You’re going to want to secure a seat for yourself before your friends here, as it’s going to be hard to have someone get up and leave this view.

For conversations and your pahilis after meals, the campsite has a designated fire pit. It’s the perfect spot to stay warm and exchange stories after the sun has set. The location is susceptible to bushfires, so guests are prohibited from creating fires anywhere else to protect the surrounding area from burning.

If you’re up for some adrenaline to start your day or to spice up your afternoon, have a go at their hearth-throbbing swing that takes you over the edge of the mountain. Of course, you’ll have a full, lovely view of the mountains while you get that adrenaline rush!
