Taste Atlas, a travel guide to different kinds of food all over the world, hailed Sinigang as the world’s best-rated vegetable soup.

A lot of soups around the world were enlisted in this competition, but only our very own Sinigang emerged victorious.

Sinigang, a dish described by Taste Atlas as a “sour Filipino soup consisting of sampalok, water spinach, green pepper, cabbage, broccoli, eggplant, diced tomatoes, sliced onions, ginger, green beans, water, oil, salt.”

Garnering a tally of 4.8 stars over 5, we could indeed say it is time for the world to learn and appreciate Sinigang.

Though souring agents and ingredients actually vary per region, it just tastes exactly the same – sour, but really yummy.

In Cebu though, where was your best-tasting Sinigang experience? Tag us in your photos, too!
