If you’re an admirer of sunflowers, be sure to add Tambaan Farm Café to your list of places to visit! The farm is a popular spot, for locals and tourists alike, for sunflower viewing and picture taking.

Tambaan Farm Café is a vegetable farm with a restaurant where they serve meals, snacks, and drinks made with fresh ingredients. The farm also opens its premises to guests who’d like to go sight-seeing. For a small fee, you can walk around their flower farms and stroll along the rows of beautiful sunflowers and colorful celosia blooms.

RESTAURANT

The restaurant serves guests hot meals and cool drinks. It’s the perfect spot to fill your belly before going on a walking tour, and for quenching your thirst after walking around the farm. Tambaan Farm Café offers many dishes from its kitchen, and for many of these dishes the ingredients are farm-fresh and locally grown!

Eating at the restaurant is a unique experience thanks to not only the delicious food, but also the ambience and atmosphere.

The dining area is open air and invites the fresh air from the farm to join diners. The aroma of the blooming flowers freely wafts through the tables as well, giving diners a sensory experience that they can’t easily find anywhere else. Bamboo is highlighted as a building material, and is used for the café’s frame and structural support. If you ask me, this gives off a cool and refreshing vibe, and this definitely goes well with the rest of the farm.

FARM

In Tambaan, they grow fresh vegetables and produce. A few include peppers, string beans, eggplants, and watermelons. Most of these are sold during harvest season, so if you visit at the right time, you get the option of going home with the freshest ingredients to make your next meals with!

Of course, fresh produce isn’t the only thing you can take home from Tambaan Farm Café. You can make lots of memories and take lots and lots of photos because there are Instagrammable spots everywhere! From the rows of popping red and yellow celosia flowers to the vibrant yellow sunflower rows, the windmill turning lazily, the colorful café backdrops and the stylish furniture, and even the quirky Volkswagen beetle, there are just so many beautiful spots to capture and take pictures with.

In the farm there isn’t any shade, so can get a bit hot. Although, enduring the heat is worth it with the views and sights within the farm. In clear weather, the sun makes vivid colors and rejuvenating tones erupt from the flowers and plants all around their property. Still, if the weather gets too hot to handle, you can always cool down with their specialty fruit teas and coolers – with colors just as vivid as their flowers’!

Tambaan Farm Café closes on days with heavy rains, which is a bummer, but this is heavily offset by the awe-inspiring and magnificent sunset views that the café is blessed with on clear days. If you’re planning a visit after reading this, make sure to check the weather forecast to maximize your trip!
