Thailand has been one of the most popular tourist spots in Southeast Asia, but since the uprising and news of the global pandemic; it has imposed strict entries from entering the country. It really took a low hit on the country’s economic and tourism sectors.

But on November 1, 2021 – Thailand’s Prime Minister, Prayut Chan-o-cha had addressed the public in a televised speech that permits a quarantine-free entry from vaccinated tourists and from selected countries that are ‘low-risk ‘, Philippines included one of its lists.

The quarantine-free travel’s conditions for tourists are: residing for twenty-one days in the selected low-risk countries before their actual travel date.

Thailand’s ‘Test & Go’ program, travelers will not go through quarantine, they will only need to be tested upon arrival in your booked hotel. Do note that you are eligible to travel if you meet the conditions; visitors must be fully vaccinated (with RT-PCR COVID-19 negative result), at least stayed in a low-risk country for 21-days, and that you’re from one of its selected countries to enter the country.

Though keep in mind, you are still required to have the necessary documents in order to be granted entry, such as the Certification of Vaccination, a medical certificate for COVID-19 test result, a Thailand Pass, and a COVID insurance package.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is looking to reopening Thailand’s entry to visitors one step at a time, as he is looking to bounce back from all the losses of the previous year the country had experienced, but in a more according and fashioned manner that won’t put the country’s residents and even foreigners, in danger.
