You can also bring your own camping gears and set up your tents, stay for the night, and wake up to the stunning view of the sunrise. Don’t worry about the food since there’s a market just few meters away from the beach where you can buy affordable and home-cooked meals. Even if camping is allowed, everyone is still advised to take extra caution and to leave no trace behind.

Aside from Virgen Rock, there are also other interesting places to go to when in Anda, Bohol. The town of Anda is blessed to house numerous destinations that feature white sand beaches and dive sites. There are also burial caves, rugged terrains and cliffs that are worth a visit. Other spots include the Shrine of “Inday Potenciana”, Rock Painting at Lamanok Point, Anda Falls, and Blue Heaven to name a few.

You will not have a hard time travelling around Anda. It’s a travel-friendly town where signages are everywhere. Their information center which is located few meters away from the town center is very helpful too.  

On the other hand, Virgen, the barangay in Anda where Virgen Rock is located, is a community with hardworking and peace-loving people according to published articles online.  It got its name after the barangay people’s devotion to “Birhen sa Kananunayng Panabang” (Mother of Perpetual Help) whom the barangay people honor and celebrate annually every month of April.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact location: Brgy. Virgen, Municipality of Anda, Bohol

BY COMMUTE: Head to Tagbilaran City via plane or ferry. Once in Tagbilaran, ride a tricycle and tell the driver to go to Dao Terminal and ride a van or bus bound to Anda. Fare costs around P120 or P100 respectively. Once you’re in Anda, ride a tricycle going to Brgy. Virgen.

BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Barangay Virgen” in Anda, Bohol. Parking space is available.
