8. The Ruins
Known to be the remains of the ancestral home mansion of the family of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson, The Ruins in Bacolod is now famous as a tourist spot admired for its Italian-inspired architecture. As it used to be a mansion of the Lacsons, during World War II, Filipino guerillas burned the place down to prevent the Japanese forces from making it as one of their bases. Known to have burned for three days straight, the mansion stood still, now damaged, thus now known as the Ruins.

Now known as a tourist spot, the ancestral house is known to be the the first museum to be established in the province of Negros Occidental.
