As it used to be a mansion of the Lacsons, during World War II, Filipino guerillas burned the place down to prevent the Japanese forces from making it as one of their bases. Known to have burned for three days straight, the mansion stood still, now damaged, thus now known as the Ruins.

The Balay Negrense (Hiligaynon for Negrense House), also known as Victor Fernandez Gaston Ancestral House is a museum in Silay City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines, showcasing the lifestyle of a late 19th-century Negrense sugar baron. Now known as a tourist spot, the ancestral house is known to be the the first museum to be established in the province of Negros Occidental.
