Philippine Airlines launched its first-ever direct flight from Cebu to Borongan, Easter Samar last December 19, 2022.
The PR 2651 departed from the Mactan Cebu International airport yesterday at 11:05 a.m. and landed at the Borongan Airport at 11:55 a.m. Aboard the De Havilland Dash 8 Series 400 Next Generation aircraft (RP-C5907) flight were 73 passengers.
According to PAL vice president for sales, linking Borongan to Cebu is direct access for more travelers to see the beauty Eastern Samar has to offer. The pioneering PAL flight and upcoming flights in the future is expected to level up both business and tourist travels.
PAL’s Cebu-Borongan-Cebu flights will have the following schedules:
- PR 2651 Cebu-Borongan:
- Every Monday and Friday departing from Mactan-CebuDeparture: 11:05 AM
- Arrival: 12:00 PM
- PR 2652 Borongan-Cebu:
- Every Monday and Friday departing from BoronganDeparture: 12:30 PM
- Arrival: 1:30 PM
