Once again, Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz brings home the gold to the Philippines. This time, she did not only sweep one but three gold medals in the IWF World Weightlifting Championships.

The Olympic gold medalist joined the women’s 55-kilogram division and won gold in all three categories such as the snatch, clean and jerk, and total. What a powerful woman indeed!

Hidilyn Diaz is the first Filipino woman and athlete to win gold in the 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo bringing honor and pride to the Philippines. Diaz dominated the clean-and-jerk category in the Olympics, beating China’s Liao Qiuyun.

Hidilyn Diaz has accomplished a lot in the year 2022, and she’ll surely continue to dominate the field of Women’s sports and weightlifting! Way to go, Hidilyn!
