Our schools in the Philippines are definitely getting some upgrades with some taking advantage of the online classes.
One university in particular, Xavier University, is getting a literal whole town of upgrade as they partner with Cebu Landmasters Inc. to build a university town-Manresa Town.
It is a 14.3-hectare university town that aims to complement the adjacent XU Masterson Campus of the future that is to be built as well.
Manresa Town will be comprised of the following:
- Retail
- Offices
- Student and teacher friendly residential offerings
These retails and offices will make the town livelier and busier but more importantly are those in-campus settlements that would create a secure, vibrant and dynamic development that will be beneficial to both XU and Uptown CDO.
Future-ready University Town
Defined as a future-ready university town, Manresa is a sustainable town designed with generous open spaces, green areas, wide roads, dedicated bike lanes, and is surrounded by 28 hectares of protected forest area.
Xavier University is building the Manresa Town and XU Masterson Campus for a more socially relevant and inclusive learning institution. They want to create an academically stronger university and help transform the Uptown CDO area.
A progressive university and area will surely have great impact on the economy of the region in the future.
