Beginning April 1, Singapore Airlines will be servicing direct international flights from Davao City to Singapore as confirmed by the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO).
Singapore Airlines used to fly to Davao City on a weekly basis through its former subsidiary Silk Air, but the service has been discontinued when the Davao International Airport (DIA) was closed to all international flights due to the Covid-19 scare.
The airline has yet to announce the flight frequency and other details.
On March 4, 2022, the Singaporean Ministry of Transport announced that fully vaccinated Filipinos including tourists will be allowed entry to Singapore.
Singapore included the Philippines in its Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) program, which allows travelers to enter Singapore without having to undergo quarantine on designated VTL flights.
