  1. Manny Pacquiao

Emmanual Dapidran Pacquiao, more famously known as Manny Pacquiao, is a Philippine senator and former professional boxer. Highly regarded as one of the greatest boxing athletes ever, he was born in Bukidnon and then raised in General Santos City. Having spent most of his early life in poverty, his rags-to-riches story as a construction worker-turned-professional boxing athlete makes for an amazing inspiration for every Filipino in the world.

  1. Gerald Anderson

Gerald Anderson is the son of an American in the Philippine Navy and a Filipina businesswoman, he lived in Texas for most of his youth and moved to GenSan when he was fourteen. In 2006, he entered the titular Big Brother house from the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) reality show and has since been recognized nationwide as one of its major heartthrobs.

  1. Melai Cantiveros

Born and raised in GenSan, Melisa Bunayog Cantiveros rose to nationwide stardom in 2009 after winning in the hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and has since starred in blockbuster films and telenovela dramas. She is now one of the hosts for the morning talk show, ‘Magandang Buhay,’ and lives a happy life with his husband Jason Francisco, and their family.

  1. Ethel Booba

Ethyl Gabison was the first celebrity crowned as the champion of the Sunday noon-time television show, ‘It’s Showtime.’ Joining ABC’s singing challenge, ‘Sing Galing,’ she defended her weekly winner’s title for four straight weeks before bagging the championship as the show’s grand champion, which consequently netted her a contract with the GMA Network.

Shamcey Supsup is the definition of ‘beauty and brains.’ Not only did she bag one of the coveted top spots in the June 2010 licensure exam for architects with a board rating of 86.60%, she also got crowned as the 3rd Runner-Up in the international beauty pageant ‘Miss Universe’ in the same year!
