If you’re riding along Route 955 or the Gingoog-Claveria-Villanueva Road, be sure to stop by the Claveria View Deck! You’ll be greeted with surreal panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, as well as accompanied by delicious local food and delicacies that are sold along the road.
The Gorgeous Countryside View
Claveria View Deck holds up to its name – it’s home to a beautiful cropping of land close to the edge of a cliff, or more like a steep incline downwards. And man, the view is just surreal! From the view deck proper, you’re able to see rolling hills blending trees and shrubs with effortless ease, as well as the landscape seemingly moving on its own as it dashes vertically through the lush fields. The view from the Claveria View Deck certainly is one spectacle you wouldn’t want to miss!
But What About the Sun?
Sure, the view seems perfect from the elevation the Claveria View Deck is in, but if you get there a couple of hours before sunset, it’s highly recommended that you wait the hours it takes to reach it! When the sun reaches the point where it’s just peeking over the horizon, it’ll paint the once previously foresty colors of the landscape with a fresh coat of warmth – picturesque vistas of trees and fields with hues that balance between red, orange, purple, and yellow. It’s the perfect treat for one of the best times of the day.

It’s a really good idea to indulge in good food when you have such a beautiful view available to you! Worry not, though, as there are tons of local vendors with their stalls dotting around the area, selling local delicacies, meals, and energy boosters that make the perfect complement to the view!

- Picnic Huts – ₱100 per hour
- Function Room – ₱2,000 for the first 8 hours, an additional ₱350 per hour exceeded. For wedding Rites/Ceremonies & other special occasions, an amount of ₱3,000 for 4 hours on weekdays only, excluding holidays.
- Photoshoots/Pre-nuptials/Similar – ₱1,000 per session, equivalent to 4 hours of usage, or an alternative of ₱300 per hour, inclusive of a cottage.

BY BUS: From the Agora Bus Terminal at Cagayan de Oro, ride a bus and tell the conductor/driver to drop you off at Claveria View Deck. The fare is around (₱75-100)
BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Claveria View Deck” in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Parking space is available.
