Tropical Cyclone “Enteng” is currently moving northwest at 15 km/hr and has sustained winds of up to 55 km/hr, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). The cyclone remains within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is expected to make landfall in Catanduanes or Albay, with the potential to strengthen into a tropical storm.
PAGASA has issued weather signals indicating that storm levels 2 and 3 may be observed. Meanwhile, the Visayas region is experiencing light to heavy rains, and scattered rainfall is anticipated in parts of Luzon due to the enhanced southwest monsoon. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and prepare for possible disruptions.
Typhoon Casualties: 2 Perished, 10 Injured, 14 Families Affected
Enteng’s gusts of winds and rain already had casualties in the Central Visayas region which included 2 people dead followed by 10 reported injuries as per the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). In addition to the storm’s casualties, there were also passengers who were stranded in different ports as the seas and skies continued to be unsafe for traveling.
