Did you know there is a natural attraction in Samboan known as the “Hidden Falls?”

This beautiful waterfall is the “Binalayan Falls” in Samboan, Cebu. It is one of the best places to visit in southern Cebu and one of the easiest to trek.

Taking only 15-20 minutes, Binalayan Falls will welcome you with the soothing sounds of nature and a lush, beautiful green landscape with refreshing lakes.

When you reach Binalayan Falls, you’ll see a stunning three-tiered waterfall. The clear, cool water is perfect for swimming and relaxing. And if you’re the type who always has a camera in a bag, then rejoice because Binalayan has spots where you can take aesthetic photos and make memories.

Tips In Visiting Binalayan Falls

  1. Wear comfortable shoes or slippers. The hike is easy, but a good pair of shoes will help you navigate the trail towards the falls better.
  2. Bring ample water– Stay hydrated throughout the hike and at the falls.
  3. Pack your bag lightly- Bring only what you need, such as towels, swimwear, and snacks.
  4. Practice CLAYGO – Clean areas by picking up trash and respecting the environment.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact Location: Samboan, Cebu, Philippines

  • By Commute: You can ride a bus from the Cebu South Bus Terminal and tell the driver to drop you off to Brgy. Bonbon in Samboan. From there, hail a tricycle or motor-taxi to take you to the drop-off point of the Binalayan Falls.
  • By Car: Use navigation apps like Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Binalayan Falls ” in Samboan. Then, follow the directions provided by the navigation app until you reach your destination.
