For today’s weather, The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is causing scattered rain showers and thunderstorms around Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, and Negros Island.

So, expect some wet and wild conditions as the ITCZ, a region near the equator where winds from both hemispheres collide, cranks up the showers. Grab your umbrellas, folks, because it’s going to be a soggy day in the tropics!

Low-Pressure Area Formation

A low-pressure area is expected to form between Visayas and Mindanao this weekend. PAGASA observed cloud clusters in the region that could lead to its development. This is a low likelihood of becoming a tropical cyclone. Despite this, it can still bring significant rain to many parts of the country.
