Instead of resembling traditional pine trees, the Christmas tree takes the form of a towering floral sculpture, echoing a festive bouquet. This distinct design represents Ormoc’s identity and offers locals and visitors a refreshing holiday visual.

A Celebration of the Queen Pineapple

Around the plaza, 12 pineapple-themed ferries add playful character to the setup. Inspired by Ormoc’s well-known Queen pineapple, the ferries symbolize the twelve months of the year and reinforce another aspect of the city’s agricultural pride.

The lighting ceremony featured a parade of lights, cultural numbers, a special concert, and fireworks. The event marked the beginning of Ormoc’s holiday festivities and showcased the community’s creativity and unity.
