How To Get There?

Location: Matalom, Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines

  • By Car: From Tacloban City, head south toward Bato which takes 3 hours. Once you reach Bato town proper, look for signs to Barangay Buli or the welcome sign for Gunhuban Falls along Sogod-Bato Road. From that sign, there’s roughly a 3 kilometer winding local road that leads to the entrance of the falls.
  • By Commute: From VS Grand Tours Tacloban City Terminal, board a van or bus going to Bato Town. The fare is around ₱150.00 to ₱200.00 and the trip takes around 2 to 3 hours. Once in Bato, you can take a tricycle or habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to the Gunhuban Falls crossing or to Barangay Buli. Just signal to the driver you want to go to Gunhuban Falls. After the drop-off, there is a short hike or walk from the road to the falls entrance.
