The Iloilo provincial government is turning the capitol grounds into a dazzling “Candyland Christmas” starting Friday, Dec. 5. This year’s display moves away from the cool, snowy tones of last year and embraces bright, candy-inspired colors to create a lively, sugar-themed holiday experience for visitors.

Spectacular Kickoff

The festivities officially begin with a fireworks display at 7 p.m., signaling the start of a month-long celebration filled with lights, colors, and family-friendly attractions.
Holiday Food Festival

A holiday food festival at the capitol park will run from Dec. 5 to 21, offering festive flavors, local Ilonggo favorites, and a variety of sweet treats for both locals and tourists to enjoy.
Christmas Bazaar

From Dec. 1 to 21, the Christmas Bazaar under the capitol canopy will feature handmade crafts, toys, clothing, caricature drawings, and classic fair snacks like cotton candy and popcorn, making it a must-visit spot for holiday shoppers.
Live Entertainment

Visitors can enjoy nightly live music performances across the grounds, adding to the cheerful holiday atmosphere and creating memorable experiences for families, friends, and tourists.
Picture-Perfect Spots

Candy-themed photo corners are scattered throughout the capitol grounds, providing colorful backdrops for fun family photos, group selfies, and social media-worthy shots.
Investment in Holiday Magic
The provincial government allocated P3.5 million for this year’s Christmas lights, enhancing Iloilo’s reputation for creative and visually stunning public holiday attractions.
