How To Get There?
Location: San Isidro, Northern Samar, Philippines
- By Car: From Catarman, drive south toward San Isidro, then take the road leading to Barangay Happy Valley. The trip covers around 60 kilometers and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Once in Happy Valley, locals can easily guide you to the falls, it’s about 2.5 kilometers from the barangay proper via a mix of paved and dirt roads. Parking is available near the entry trail.
- By Commute: From Catarman Terminal, take a bus or van bound for San Isidro and tell the driver to drop you off at the junction to Brgy. Happy Valley. From there, hire a habal-habal (motorbike taxi) to reach the barangay and continue to the falls. The entire trip may take around 2 to 3 hours, including transfers. Locals are friendly and can point you toward the trail entrance.
Best Time to Visit
Visit during the dry months (December to May) when the roads are passable and the water is calm yet full enough for swimming. Early morning visits let you enjoy the falls in peaceful solitude, with mist rising over the cascading tiers.
