How to Get There?
Location: Cagwait, Surigao del Sur, Philippines
- By Car: From Tandag City, drive via the Tandag–Cagwait Road. The journey is approximately 30 kilometers and takes about an hour. Follow the signs to Aras-asan and Cagwait, then turn at the Cagwait Beach junction. From there, park nearby and ride a local habal-habal or tricycle to the beach proper.
- By Commute: If commuting, head to the Tandag bus terminal and catch a bus bound for Butuan or Davao. Ask the driver to drop you off at Cagwait Beach junction. From the junction, hire a habal-habal or tricycle to reach the beach in just a few minutes. Alternatively, take a jeepney from Tandag to Aras-asan, Cagwait, then transfer to local transport to the beach.
Where to Stay?

Accommodations around Cagwait Beach are limited and mostly local guesthouses or small resorts. Most of these are not listed online, so it’s best to ask for availability upon arrival. Staying overnight lets you catch the breathtaking sunrise, a must-see for early risers.
