A Journey to the Cave

Reaching Mamara Cave involves a scenic 15 minute ride from the town proper of Sipalay to Sitio Mamara and followed by a 20 minute river trek. The journey itself offers a glimpse into the lush landscapes and tranquil environment that characterize this part of Negros Occidental.

Inside the Cave

Upon entering Mamara Cave, visitors are greeted by impressive limestone formations and a cool and damp atmosphere. How To Get There?
Location: Barangay Mambaroto, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Visayas, Philippines
- By Car: From Bacolod City, drive south via the Negros South Road passing through the towns of Bago, Valladolid, San Enrique, Hinigaran, Binalbagan, Himamaylan, and Cauayan until you reach Sipalay City which is around 4 to 5 hours. Once in Sipalay proper, head towards Barangay Mambaroto where Mamara Cave is located. Navigate using Google Maps or Waze or ask locals for directions as you get closer. Parking is available near the barangay.
- By Commute: From Bacolod City South Bus Terminal, ride a Ceres Liner Bus bound for Sipalay City which takes around 4 to 5 hours. Upon arrival at Sipalay proper, take a tricycle or habal-habal to Barangay Mambaroto. It is best to ask locals or your driver for guidance to the exact cave entrance.
