Funtastic Island is located in Gibitngil island in Medellin, Cebu. If you are a budget conscious person but you are also an adventurer at heart, it is very hard to find a place in Cebu that will satisfy our needs and at the same time be affordable. This hidden spot is not known to many people—-3-4 hour drive going north and another 15-20 minute boat ride going to the island.

True to its name, it is a promising getaway for thrill seekers but also a great place to relax and feel the cool ocean breeze that will surely captivate the hearts of many. They also offer funtastic activities—cliff jumping, kayaking, and ziplining.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact Location: Gibitngil Island, Medellin, Cebu

  • BY BUS: From the North bus terminal, take a bus or a V-hire going to Kawit Medellin. The travel time is around 3-4 hours by land. Ride a motorboat afterwards going to Gibitngil Island. Boat travel is 15 to 20 minutes. Bus fare is P180 per person, v-hire is P170 per person.
  • BY CAR: If you opt to bring your car, navigate with Waze and pin your location at Kawit, Medellin or to any beach resort to park your car. From there ask around where you can ride a boat to Funtastic Island.

Bamboo Forest, Medellin

Do you want to go to China? I have some great news for you. You don’t have to because of this hidden attraction that captivates visitors with lush greenery and serene atmosphere. The Bamboo forest is located in the northern part of Cebu with its enchanting features of towering bamboo groves and providing a natural and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

An ideal spot for photography, hiking, and picnicking with the rustling of breeze and a gentle sway of bamboo adding a soothing ambiance. The area is also home to diverse flora and fauna—a great location for bird watching and local wildlife.

Exact Location: Brgy. Luy-a, Medellin, Northern Cebu – Just beside a sugarcane plantation.

  • BY BUS: At the North bus terminal, ride a bus or v-hire going to Kawit, Medellin. Bus fare is 180 per person and V-hire is 170 per person. Land travel is 3-4 hours. Asked to be dropped off at the proper town. Once you are in town, hail a tricycle to go to the Bamboo farm.
  • BY CAR: Navigate through Waze or Google maps and set your destination at Medellin Bamboo farm in Luy-a, Medellin. 

Aisle of Medellin, Medellin

  • BY BUS: Ride a bus going to Daanbantayan from the Cebu North bus terminal and tell the conductor to drop you off at the Aisle of Medellin.
  • BY CAR: Navigate using Waze or Google Maps and set your destination at the Aisle of Medellin. You may park safely and take photos at your next destination.

Pearl Beach Camp, Medellin

The Pearl Beach Camp is located in Medellin, Cebu. a new beach car camping spot at the northern part of Cebu. This car camping haven is where you can just roll into four spacious properties and set up camp. Whether it is under the shade, close by the beach, or on top of the cliff. Away from the bustling city, the camp is peaceful and quiet.
