How To Get There?

Location: Barangay Gamuton, Lanuza, Surigao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines

  • Via Car: From Surigao City, drive south along the Surigao to Davao Coastal road which is around 2 to 3 hours to reach Lanuza. From Lanuza, follow local signs to Barangay Gamuton. The access road to Silop Cool Springs is partly a dirt trail so a bigger vehicle or a motorcycle is recommended. Once near the spring, park and take a short walk to reach the cool waters.
  • Via Commute: From Surigao City, take a bus or a van bound for Tandag or Cantilan and get off at Lanuza Market which is around 2 to 3 hours. From there, ride a jeepney or a habal-habal to Barangay Gamuton and then another short motorcycle ride or trek to Silop Cool Springs. If unsure of the exact path, it is best to ask locals for directions.
