Eight years ago Nintendo’s first released Nintendo Switch, now Nintendo’s Switch successor the Nintendo Switch 2 will released in 2025, it introduces its new hardware of the console from it updated buttons to its larger screen
What we know of the Nintendo Switch 2 so far, according to Nintendo, Nintendo Switch 2 plays Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games, as well as both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date. Nintendo will also hold Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events, where consumers can go hands-on with Nintendo Switch 2, in cities around the world.
Predecessor VS. Successor
The first Switch that released 8 years ago has features like:
- A 9.6 inch wide and 4 inch tall Joy-cons
- 6.2 inch LCD screen
- Kickstand in the back of the console
- Pixel resolution of 1,280 x 720
- GPU & CPU: runs on NVIDIA custom TEGRA X1 processor, splitted into ARM CORTEX A57 CPU CORE
- RAM & STORAGE: 4GB of RAM, 32GB EXTERNAL STORAGE, and a 2TB External Micro SD card slot
- Battery Life: 4,310 mAh, runs 4 to 9 hours depending on its usage, brightness etc…
- Ports: Single USB-C port and A 35 mm headphone jack on the bottom
- Connectivity:Wi – Fi 5 Plus and Bluetooth 4.1 Connectivity
While, the new Nintendo Switch 2’s features:
- There is still no official statement and confirmation of Nintendo Switch 2’s Display, GPU & CPU, RAM & STORAGE, Battery Life.
- The console’s kickstand has an updated look, with a U shape stand good for any angles.
- Ports: USB-C port on the bottom and top, no official statement why an extra port is located above , and a 35 mm headphone jack on the bottom.
After Nintendo released Switch 2, they were all quiet about the updated looks of the console, maybe Nintendo is building up the hype for people to be excited about what are the newest features of the Switch 2, and all of our questions about the console will all be answered on April 2, wow even the release date has 2 in it, for now all we can do is play and “switch to switch 2” when it releases.
