Nothing beats planning a holiday and getting news that they extended their Visa regulations.

Attention, country hoppers! Taiwan has announced a visa-free extension for Filipinos and can stay up to 14 days per entry. This is valid from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026 perfect for tourism, family visits, business, or short-term study/exchange and as long as you meet the conditions, you are free to enter without a visa.

Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung said “To continue to deepen bilateral ties between Taiwan and the Philippines, I announce that ‘Taiwan will extend the visa-free entry program for Filipino nationals for one year’” in his speech on Friday, June 13. To which he expressed the importance of Taiwan and Philippines working together to support peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

Passports
- Passports must be valid for 6 months as of the date of entry.
Proof/Documents needed
- You will need proof of return or onward travel
- Proof of Accomodation of booking or a letter from a host in Taiwan is needed
- Must show proof of sufficient funds

The extension was announced by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Taipei on June 13, 2025 and hopes that the Philippines will reciprocate with Visa-free access for Taiwanese nationals in the future.
