How To Get There?
Location: Sagay City, Negros Occidental, Visayas, Philippines
- Via Car: From Bacolod City, drive approximately 2 to 3 hours north via Bacolod to Cadiz to Sagay Road to reach Sagay City. Upon arrival, head to Old Sagay Port which is the designated departure point for Carbin Reef. Parking is available near the port. From there, you can hire a motorized boat to take you to Carbin Reef which is about a 30 minute ride away. It’s advisable to contact the Sagay City Information and Tourism Office in advance to arrange boat rentals and inquire about any necessary permits or fees.
- Via Commute: From Bacolod City, take a bus or a van bound for Sagay City via the Bacolod to Cadiz to Sagay Route which usually takes around 3 to 4 hours. Once in Sagay City, head to the Old Sagay Port which is the main jump off point for Carbin Reef. From there, you can hire a motorized boat arranged by local operators to reach the reef which is about a 30 minute ride. It’s recommended to ask the Sagay City Information and Tourism Office or locals at the port for the safest route and boat arrangements as schedules and tides can affect access.
