The Legend of Talinis

Photo from Au Ro Ra

The mountain’s twin peaks resemble the horns of a giant water buffalo named Talinis. The buffalo was known for his incredible strength and bravery, and the locals adored him. One fateful day, an earthquake shook the island, and Talinis used his horns to push the ground apart, creating a safe passage for the people to escape. As a result, Talinis sacrificed himself, and the peaks rose from the ground, where his mighty horns that saved lives now stand.
