A Scenic Trek to the Falls

Reaching Binalayan Falls involves a short 15 to 20 minute hike through a tranquil jungle trail making it accessible to most visitors. The path meanders under towering palm trees and across small river crossings adding to the adventure. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by the serene beauty of the falls with the middle tier often referred to as the “Gatorade Pool” due to its distinct blue-green hue.

At Binalayan Falls, visitors can enjoy various activities such as swimming in the refreshing pools, rope swinging, and cliff jumping. The middle tier with its vibrant waters is particularly popular for these activities. Local guides are available to ensure safety and enhance the experience. 

How To Get There?

Location: Barangay Bonbon, Samboan, Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines

  • By Car:  From Cebu City, take a bus from the Cebu South Bus Terminal bound for Bato via Barili. The journey takes approximately almost 4 hours. Get off near the entrance to Binalayan Falls which is just a few meters off the highway.
  • By Commute: From Moalboal, take a bus to Samboan. The falls are approximately an almost 2 hour drive from Moalboal. Upon reaching Samboan, follow signs or ask locals for directions to Binalayan Falls.
