Tight Security Measures

Davao City’s Public Safety and Security Office is rolling out a security plan for the event. A total of 341 security personnel will be on duty to manage crowds and maintain order throughout the celebration. The PSSO reminds everyone that while the event is open to the public, following advisories and observing discipline is key to a safe and enjoyable experience.

Road Closures and Traffic Advisory

To accommodate the preparations and festivities, partial and full road closures will be enforced along Bucana Bridge, spanning from Tulip to Roxas Rotonda, from February 14 to 17. On February 16, a full closure will take effect from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Residents are advised that morning travel along these routes will still be allowed but will be regulated. Commuters and drivers are encouraged to plan their trips early to avoid traffic delays and follow guidance from traffic enforcers.

Firecracker Ban in Effect

In line with City Ordinance 060-02, no fireworks display will be staged during the celebration. The ban ensures public safety and allows the event to proceed smoothly without risk of accidents. Visitors are reminded that the focus will be on the official lighting ceremony and community activities rather than pyrotechnics.
