Pahangog Falls, also called Dimiao Twin Falls, is one of Bohol’s most enchanting waterfalls. Its twin streams plunge from a 30-meter cliff into a vivid teal rock pool, surrounded by lush tropical greenery. The natural basin is perfect for swimming, wading, or simply relaxing, and the secluded location makes the experience feel exclusive. Adventurers will enjoy the light hike and a few rocky climbs to reach the falls, making it a rewarding stop for nature lovers.

Pahangog Falls can be visited year-round, though the dry season (November to May) offers safer trails and clearer pools. The falls retain their vibrant turquoise color even during wet months, but the trail may become slippery after rain. Early morning visits are ideal to enjoy the falls without crowds.

How to Get There?

Location: Dimiao, Bohol, Philippines

By Car: From Tagbilaran City, take the Tagbilaran–Dimiao route via the Lila-Dimiao road. Travel east for roughly 60 kilometers until you reach Dimiao town proper. Once in Dimiao, follow local signs pointing to Pahangog Falls. There is a small parking area near the trailhead where cars can be parked for 50 pesos. From there, a short trek of 15–20 minutes through a forested path leads directly to the twin waterfalls.

By Commute: Public commuters can take a Bohol Bus or van bound for Dimiao from Tagbilaran Integrated Bus Terminal. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Pahangog Falls. From the drop-off point, you can hire a tricycle or motorbike to reach the trailhead. The final leg requires a 15–20 minute hike through a jungle path, so wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
