On Thursday evening, Tagbilaran City Mayor Baba Yap has declared that a resident of their city tested positive for COVID-19.
He has placed Purok 2 in Barangay Dao under lockdown after the result. Efforts in tracing conducting contract-tracing has been dealt with accordingly. Everyone who has been in direct contact with the patient will be subjected to a rapid anti-body testing.
According to Mayor Yap, the patient is not one of the LSIs nor one of the OFWs. He assured, however, that the patient is already confined and isolated in one of the hospitals.
Bohol was placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) since June 1, 2020.
He encourages everyone to stay at home, unless necessary.
