Popular comedian and host Melai Cantiveros has been named as the honorary ambassador for Korea Family Tourism in the Philippines, representing the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). She will fulfill her duties for a year, from May 21, 2024, to May 20, 2025.
In this role, Cantiveros, and her family, will be the face of KTO’s family tourism promotional campaigns and events in the Philippines. They will also travel to Korea, sharing their experiences on social media and participating in various tourism events to promote Korean tourism.
Cantiveros shared the exciting news on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity. This collaboration is expected to strengthen tourism ties between the Philippines and Korea, benefiting both nations by encouraging family tourism.
In addition to her new ambassador role, Cantiveros has been actively promoting Korea-Philippines tourism. She starred in the movie “Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul” last year, which showcased the beautiful culture and tourist attractions of Korea. Moreover, she is preparing for the upcoming season of the TV show “Pinoy Big Brother.”
This partnership between Melai Cantiveros and the Korea Tourism Organization shows the importance of cultural ambassadors in promoting international tourism and strengthening relations of countries or nations.
