Meta Apps
Starting off the list Meta, apps from Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. Facebook’s newest features on their version has recently added newest features to enhance the users experience of the app, to make an easier way to manage pages and advertising. Page management, redesigned layout, this features gives the user an ease to make communities, Easier navigation, the user can now easily navigate from their personal profile to business pages, Improved page management tools, the users can now be assigned and manage the access to the admins permission with basing on a specific given task. Facebook Ads: Call to Action Buttons, the users can make or create a very specific CTA to prompt visitors to take a particular action for their page. A/B test ads, Users can now create multiple ads and segments, it depends on the users age and location. Multi-destination calls to action, The businesses can now to multiple products pages from the Reels carousel ads. Also Facebook has other features that they had added from their updates, Actionable Insights, Safety and Integrity feature, Improved AI alt text accuracy, and Easier Profile switching.
Meta’s IG also has an update, New Grid Size, IG’s 3×3 display has been updated into 4×3 display, which means a more spacious, bigger and bolder display. Longer Video Duration, from IG’s standard 60 seconds (1 minute) layout, 90 seconds has been added to make reels to be a more engageable experience. And finally, IG’s Edit feature, IG does not require any third party app installation, this a built-in feature in IG, this allows the user to edit captions sizes, the tagging system, and you can even edit photos that have been posted, and IG notes.
Messenger
Facebook Messenger had also updated some minor features, recently, Messenger added the newest features. HD photos, from 1,080 x 720 pixel images, the app can now send high definition images, 4K for images and 1,280 pixels for the videos. File size limit, the users can now send files more than 25 MB, the feature for the app for sending documents raised the limits of 100 mb for Word files, PDF, Excel and now ZIP files. AI chats, yes you can now chat AI on messenger, META AI can now create, share and even chat with the AI about anything you wanted to know and to talk about. Also Messenger added this feature, Shared Albums, everyone on the same group chat can send, share, delete, download pictures and videos. QR code contact sharing, and Message Editing.
Tiktok
Recently, Tiktok was banned in the US, because of some concern about potential user data collection. But in some other countries including here in the Philippines, Tiktok can still be used. What’s new Tiktok? Tiktok added some new features, Tiktok just added a bubble thought to let the followers be notified about their followed Tiktok artist thoughts or any live activity. Tiktok also added a feature to allow the user to choose any photos for their video cover of their content.
X
X or formerly known as Twitter, has updated their features, X Premium, it is a paid subscription service in X, it offers the features of longer posts and few ads. Edit button, it allows X users to edit their posts after they are being published. Community Notes, just like IG’s note, the users also leave a note from their photos and videos that they have interacted or watched. Enhanced Video Sharing, X is now offering a more improved capabilities of video sharing in X.
