Cowboy’s Camp is situated at the top of Mt. Kilagas in Kiliog, Bukidnon. On bright, sunny days, it features the verdant mountain ranges of Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon. During cold and cloudy days, the peak is enveloped by thick white clouds obscuring everything from view and giving the mountain a mystical atmosphere.

Before getting to the enticing views at the peak of the mountain, hikers must first go through different terrains – both rough and flat – to be able to find their way to the mountain top. Seasoned hikers would find the trek extremely easy but beginners should be ready with their ointments and massaging oils as the journey to the top is, quite literally, not a walk in the park.

As the hikers traverse the various landscapes, they will be able encounter the breathtaking mountain views surrounding Bukidnon. The higher they go, the more enchanting the views are which makes the hike more than worth it.

Upon arriving at the camp, everybody should immediately set up their tents as the night draws closer because those without their tents up will be shivering from the cold temperature at the peak. As the morning sun rises and starts to break the fog, hikers can take shelter at the small and lone structure in the camp which also serves as its landmark. Hikers can heat water or cook instant food in there if anyone in the group knows how to cook using firewood.
