The Maasin City Forest Park is home to abundant trees and wildlife that you can go there to simply enjoy the green scenery and the blue sky above you. It truly gives you the time you need for yourself as the breeze and the air is relaxing enough to make you ponder. The park also has a zoo which contains several animals.

These animals that can be seen at the zoo include camels, miniature horses, tigers, black apes, ostriches, crocodiles, snakes, all sorts of species of birds like the Victoria crown and the Philippine eagle, and a whole lot more. This zoo has also been the very first zoo of Eastern Visayas, making it a huge feat for the region.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact location: Maasin City, Southern Leyte

BY AIR/SEA/BUS: If you prefer the air, book a flight to Tacloban City’s airport. From there, go to their bus terminal and ask around to find a bus or van heading to Maasin City. If you prefer the sea, ride a boat to nearby cities such as Baybay City and find a bus or van heading to Maasin City. Once there, ask around the tricycle drivers to take you to the Maasin City Forest Park.

BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Maasin City Forest Park”.
