What a great way to start the year, and he/she surely is the luckiest of them all.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) declared on Monday, January 17, through a Facebook post that a bettor from Abuyog, Leyte is the one and only winner of the ₱142.6-million jackpot prize for Super Lotto 6/49.
The lone bettor correctly predicted the winning combination 02 – 05 – 04 – 31 – 01 – 46 for Super Lotto 6/49 during the draw on January 16, 2022 and won a total jackpot reward of ₱142,679,606.40, according to the PCSO.
Under the TRAIN Law (Republic Act No. 1169), PCSO lotto prizes worth more than P10,000 are subject to a 20% tax. This means, the winner will take home (still) a whopping ₱114,143,685.12 after tax.
The winner has to go to the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two IDs to claim the prize.
Meanwhile, 14 betters won P50,000 each for correctly predicting 5 of the 6-digit winning combinations of the Super Lotto 6/49.
