It’s location in Barangay Maraymaray used to be the site of an airstrip that was used decades ago. It has a size a 149-hectare property and located about 7.3 kilometers away from the town’s highway.

The airport’s runway is expected to be finished in 2022 while its terminal would be completed in 2023. Bukidnon Airport is expected to also be operational in 2023 and due to be fully completed by 2026.

Photos of the Bukidnon Airport as of April 2022 were recently released showing that the long runway was already concreted as the airport’s first phase and supposedly including pipe conduits, box culverts and the construction of an apron for the north and south taxiways.
