When Max announced that it would be reimagining the Harry Potter movies for a decade-long series, fans from around the world were excited thanks to Max global rollout, especially those who are living in the United Kingdom that could gain long awaited access to one of the best streaming services.
While there’s still a long way to go, we can always hop on the Hogwarts Express train, mentions of the new cast of Hogwarts professor have been floating around. This could be one of the first major insights to the Harry Potter Revival.
The upcoming series have received criticisms after it was announced that J.K Rowling would serve as an executive producer following an online controversy, however, that didn’t stop 32,000 kids from auditioning for the leading trio; Harry, Ron, and Hermione. After the show’s enlisted writer, Francesca Gardiner, revealed this and Max announcement of a summer 2025 production start date, a slew of new names started making rounds.
Oscar winner Mike Rylance is eyed to take on the role of Albus Dumbledore, our favorite headmaster, character brought to life by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the movies, respectively. An exciting prospect, but with huge shoes to fill following Alan Rickman’s unforgettable journey as Severus Snape. Interestingly, the possible casting choices made by Gardiner and Mylod is a sign of dedication in reimagining the Harry Potter series in the best interest of the original works.
