A bridge that connects two mountains…
The Agas-Agas Bridge, located in Brgy. Kahupian, Southern Leyte is the tallest bridge in our country.
At 350 meters long and soaring 89 meters high, the Agas-Agas Bridge is an engineering marvel. Built in 2006, it has withstood countless tropical storms and typhoons, proving its durability. The bridge’s design includes viewing decks at both ends, allowing visitors to stop and take in the stunning scenery, including the vast green hills and valleys that stretch as far as the eye can see.
For a budget of more than a billion pesos, the bridge was partially funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency with their sole intention of helping lessen the traffic within the area.
Surrounded by vibrant foliage, the view from the bridge adds to the beauty of the location, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Whether you’re driving across or stopping to take photos, the Agas-Agas Bridge offers a unique perspective of the Philippines’ natural wonders.
