Have you noticed the increasing number of smiling faces on billboards featuring people wearing polo shirts? Yep, that’s coz the election is drawing near!
As the midterm elections approach, we’ll see more and more political posters along main roads. But the most important question of all is: HAVE YOU REGISTERED?
Voter registration will close on September 30, 2024, for the midterm elections, which is roughly two weeks from now! The Commission on Elections opened the registration period on February 12, so you’ve had several months to register before deciding to do so now.
Luckily, in today’s digital age, registration can be done in several ways, such as:
- Visiting the office of your election officer
- Heading to RAP (Register Anywhere Program) sites
- Visiting satellite and mall registration sites
To register with ease, you can prepare the registration form by downloading it from the www.comelec.gov.ph website. Also, remember to bring a valid government-issued ID as proof of your identity. COMELEC has announced that employee or company IDs will no longer be accepted for security reasons.
So, head over to your nearest registration center now and remember to vote wisely!
